If you think there is nothing that can replace “dairy parmesan cheese”–rethink! This Vegan Parmesan Cheese recipe will change your idea about it for good. It’s really tasty, easy to make, good for you and animals, and less impact to the earth!
I was one of those people I never thought would be able to live without having parmesan on my pasta, pizza and many things before. However, one day when I realized how bad dairy products can be for you, the animals and the world, I decided to change.
Without second thoughts, I ditched dairy products almost entirely. I started to make my own plant based parmesan, and it turned out unbelievably good. My entire family loves it, and we don’t feel like we’re missing anything as far as eating tasty foods. In fact, this Vegan Parmesan Cheese gives us more satisfaction knowing we are not part of the dairy industry businesses.
I use it in almost everything from pasta dishes, salad toppings, sprinkled on my favorite Easy Kale dish and especially on popcorn. Yes, we eat a lot of popcorn on our family movie nights, and this Vegan Parmesan Cheese is the reason why.
With only a few ingredients that you probably have in your pantry, and a minute to make it, this plant-based cheese will satisfy you every single time you put it in your mouth. I guarantee it!

Here are things you need to make Vegan Parmesan Cheese:
- 1 cup (128 g) cashew.
- 3-4 TBSP (42-56 g) nutritional yeast.
- About 1 tsp (4.5 g) or less salt. ( I use pink himalayan salt)

How:
- In a food processor, put all the ingredients above in, and process until everything mixes together well.

Note: It’s fine to leave it on a counter, but I like to be on a safe side and put mine in the fridge.
